Has Anyone Gotten The Shingles Vaccine? Do We Even Need It?
I got both vaccine shots for shingles and outside of a sore arm for about 12 hours and a mild flu like symptoms for 6 hours, I had no major reaction. Both my PCP and neurologist demanded I get them. Because our autoimmune system is already compromised, any help we can get to reduce or even eliminate the shingles altogether is a win for us. As mentioned by others, refer to your own medical team and first.
Hello again dear Brinda! I did receive the shingles vaccine in 2019 and the doctor thinks it actually exacerbated my MG symptoms. So I did not receive the 2nd dose. I really believe vaccines are unpredictable with people suffering from MG.
My Neuro told me NO Vaccinations ! Especially ones that are a live virus. As always, listen to your Dr. and then make your own informed decision.
Goodness, I do not want another vaccine of anything .Had shingles years ago and that was more than enough pain for a long time. I am about “vaccined” out for the time being.
I got mine. I had shingles a few years ago and you can get it again. Yes, you need it.
I Have Avoided Getting Flue Shots And Vaccinations In General. This Has Been My Own Decision Not With Any Medical Advice. Right Or Wrong?
So Is There A General Rule Of Thumb On Vaccinations? Upcoming Flu And Covid Shots Are Offered Everywhere. I Was Advised To Avoid Them.
I Showed No Symptoms Of MG @ Age72 Until I Got A Covid Vaccine And Then Got Covid Anyway. Is Anyone Tracking A Relationship Between The Two?
