Your basic optometrist probably won’t be of much help you might opt for an ophthalmologist instead.
My optometrist said he saw no reason for double vision when I visited him prior to diagnosis of MG

Yvett When I first started having blurry vision and double vision was not diagnosed yet I went to a Opmologist he told me I needed my cataracts off that didn't help one bit they told me it wasn't double vision it was ghosting vision , I told them call it what you want but its double to me , took me 3 years and 4 eye specialist to discover I had Ocular Myasthenia Gravis , I've learnt you have to be your own advocate sometimes ask questions. You have been diagnosed so the doctor has some knowledge, wish you the very best❤❤❤❤

Your lucky. Just fired primary care cuz he talks down to me and suggests I make up my issues. Also told me to take magnesium for muscle spasms til I corrected him.

When I was diagnosed 23 years ago, the drs here really didn't know much about MG. I printed off what limited information I could find and took it to my dentist, eye dr and pcp. They all took it upon themselves to do research and we discussed it at length. That's how you know you are in the right office

I take Prednisone for my MG Prednisone causes increased eye pressure so my eye doctor checks this every 3 or 4 months to prevent Glaucoma
