I won’t lie to you. I did gain weight and my face got fuller but never to the level that you see with someone on chemo. I also did some research on diet and supplements to try and avoid it and I exercised. It is an awful drug. I respect anyone for the decisions they make. In my case my MD told me this was the only way next to having prisms put in my glasses. Good luck and if you have question feel free to reach out.

It is all part of oMG. My Neuro-Opthalmologist explicitly told me that Mastenon would not work. She put me in prednisone. Started at 10mg and increased it by 10 mg each week. When I hit 50 mg my double vision and droopy eyelid corrected. I stayed on 50 mg for 2 more weeks then started backing down 4 mg per week until I hit zero.

I have prisms in my glasses. It makes a world of difference.
Because of pyrstigmate (sorry if I misspelled that), I can go for quite a while without my glasses. If I start seeing double, I put them on.
I do need them for reading all the time, though.

I'm glad the prednisone worked for you. It would probably work for me. But I'm hesitant to take it because it will give me "moon face".. that's what it did to my mom. It also gave her such bad osteoporosis that she had to have her arm amputated. She told me to never take it no matter what

Yes, these symptoms can be part of ocular myasthenia gravis (MG). Here are some relevant points from the knowledge base:

- Drooping Eyelids (Ptosis): This is a common symptom where the eyelids fall, making it look like your eyes aren’t fully open. It can affect one or both eyes and may worsen when the other eyelid is lifted.
- Double Vision (Diplopia): This occurs when the muscles that move your eyes in unison become weak or fatigued, causing misalignment and resulting in seeing two images instead of one.
- Eye Fatigue: Weak or fatigued eye muscles can lead to symptoms like tiredness in the eyelids.

If these symptoms interfere with your quality of life, it's important to consult your doctor for appropriate management.
