How Many Other People Are Dealing With Neuropathy Along With Their MG?
it seems to be these days. I have a lot of tingling and numbness in my legs, ankles, and feet as well as my arms and hands. I was just wondering how many other people are dealing with the same issue and what you do to find relief
I have made some posts earlier. I have tried gabipaten and pregabipaten and no help. I know the spelling is wrong. The I saw a post on here about topricin. I have used it and found some relief. My doctor advised only using it every other week so I do not build up immunity. On the off weeks I use a product called skinners and that helps some. There is no fix as we have a muscle disease and have to use relief where we find it.
Marie said Gabapentin, which is what I use. I use it for pain relief so I can sleep. I have pain from other sources rather than MG. I have most of my numbness in my left foot although I have some in my right foot as well and my fingers. I have just learned to live with it. Acupuncture and electrical stimulation did nothing for me.
Marie - I am the the Toprisin user, but am not struggling with the same things you are. I have found daily use ok with Toprisin and have not had build up yet. There ls Toprisin for feet and it too really helps me.
I suffer with neuropathy, and it is from the diabetes. So, I'm fighting 2 battles.
I have had peripheral neuropathy for about 5 yrs and tried gabapentin (didn’t work) but then I tried Lyrica (pregabalin) 225mg which my pharmacist husband says is a precursor to gabapentin and it works! I was on so many other things and tried so many therapies I was at wits end. My pain is burning pain in feet and legs up to my knees and hands ( but not as bad as feet and legs. They are also numb at times to but prefer the numbness by far than feeling like you are on fire.
