Does Your Myasthenia Gravis Symptoms Come And Go?

A MGteam Member asked a question 💭
Grantville, KS

I was wanting to ask each of you what your experience has been with your symptoms? I was wondering do you have symptoms daily? Hourly? Or, do the symptoms come and go depending on what your activity is. Is there a time when the symptoms have actually gone away for a while? I appreciate each of you sharing anything that can help, as we each try to live with Myasthenia Gravis in our lives. Thank you!

When I can keep a normal schedule, get enough rest, and not overdue I don't often get symptoms. However if I'm super busy and stressed out I definitely seem to get fatigued much easier. I have had two rounds of infusions and after the first I had symptoms reoccur halfway through my break. Now I just finished my second round and I'm waiting to see if symptoms reoccur after 2 to 3 weeks. My neurologist PA and I have a plan so I know what I can add or up if I feel even a twinge of the symptoms coming. Hopefully this will make me be able to have 4 weeks without any relapse.

And.... I agree with the rest, not enough rest and a busy schedule or to much stress causes flare ups with me also.

I have researched and found that travel can also bring on MG symptoms. I hope you are able to rest well Joellen.

I have a hard time getting enough sleep. If I do too much without rest my body brings me down quickly. I'll get fatigued and dizzy then I suffer for a day or two.
