I Have A Question About Side Effects Of Pyridostigmine 60 Mg Tablets.

A MGteam Member asked a question 💭
Clarkdale, AZ

I finally got my Pyridostigmine 60 mg tablets. I took one of them and my blood pressure just plummeted. I feel like I have the flu, just dragging around, feeling terrible and since it is the weekend, I can't call my doctor, so I called the pharmacist. He said he had never heard of low BP being a side effect of Pyridostigmine. Has anyone else experienced a side effect of very low BP after taking this medication? I know I react to all meds, but this one really surprised me. 😵

I have tried the mestinon 3 different times. I'm me to MG; diagnosed in May of this year. I am no longer taking it. I felt weird, so I took my BP. It was 179/80 which is unusual for me. Even weirder, my heart rate was 85bpm while just laying on the couch watching TV. These aren't expected reactions either, but like you, I react to most medications. I hope they find answers for you quickly.

I really don’t have any side effects from the Mestinon on a daily basis.
Occasionally I do get diarrhea that lasts for a day, but then goes away. Nothing really serious.
I have been nesting since I was diagnosed in 2009. I have been in remission since 2009.
I take one day at a time and make it count.
Good luck and God Bless

No I have been on it for a very long time it shouldn't be a side effect but check with your Doctor or Pharmacist to see if another medication you are taking could be causing the problem
