Does Anyone Prescribed Pyridostigmine Have Trouble Getting It And If You Can Get It, Is It Horribly Expensive?

A MGteam Member asked a question πŸ’

I had a very sobering experience with my ophthalmologist a few days ago. He concurred that I have oMG and ended our visit with a statement that, so far, I've never heard from a doctor in my life. It left me feeling really helpless and hopeless and to be honest, rather depressed. I pray the neurologist that I'm going to see in… read more

Never had a problem getting it. The last time with my Medicare Advantage plan it cost me $6.00 for 60 day supply.

Good Morning Diane. Same here with pyridostigmine. I'm with Kaiser and Medicare coverage and pay little for it. My left eye lid had been closed for a year and a half before I had been diagnosed accidently with oMG. But my GP prescribed prednisone and azathioprine immediately and my left eye lid began working again within 48 hours and has remained open and properly working since then. Sort of like magic. Although I have been told there is no cure for MG and have read up on it considerably, there are things we can do to make life easier. Just remember that there are good doctors, average doctors and poor doctors, just like in any profession in life. Find a better doctor, and especially get an experienced MG neurologist.
Cheers, Bill Z

Oh, okay. Yes, I've tried Good Rx and they lowered the cost by just a few dollars. So far, Blink Health is the lowest price I've found. I'll probably go with them. Thanks for the update.
