Has Anyone Else Been Misdiagnosed Or Have Comorbidities (other Diagnosed Autoimmune Diseases)?

A MGteam Member asked a question đź’

I have been told I had or might have Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, fibromyalgia, possible POTS disease, but the doctors do not agree on any of it.
MG is the newest diagnosis by a neurologist.

Hi Anne, and welcome to MGteam! I have hypothyroid disorder, osteopenia (probably from meds), was diagnosed with COPD but was 'undiagnosed' this year, and had a diagnosis of Bell's Palsy for months before my MG diagnosis. I also have mild arthritis and weak lungs. I think it's pretty common to be misdiagnosed because MG is still just not common enough to be easily recognizable. And it's also not unusual to multiple autoimmune issues.

All the best to you!

Also beware of the side effects if one is using prednisone. This includes high cholesterol, A1C elevation, and osteoporosis.
