Curious Does Anyone Know What Caused Them To Have MG?7
I agree with Bill about this being a great question! And, in fact, about most of his response!
I've also wondered how many of us had a pre-existing immune disorder that contributed to it. I have a cousin who was diagnosed 3-4 years ago, but was told that her MG was probably congenital. There are just so many variables to consider! My hope is that I don't pass this on to my kids or grandkids.
Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday, Yvonne! ❤️

GREAT QUESTION!!! I have not been able to find causes of Myasthenia Gravis. The problem is, there is so much about MG that is still unknown. There is a genetic form that can be passed on but it's rare.
I'll be interested to see what others have to say to this question, that's what I love most about this group.
For myself I have a "Theory": I was exposed to high levels of ammonia in a space that had an inadequate HVAC system. This exposure was about a year. I was really sick and missed a lot of work. I eventually left and they were soon investigated & fined. Shortly after leaving I started feeling better. However I soon went from occasional fatigue to EXTREME fatigue. I believe this infection messed up my immune system and thus began my Myasthenia Gravis. Just a theory!
