How Do Muscles Get Refueled After A Flare Up?

A MGteam Member asked a question 💭

I have seronegative mg. When you use up your energy in muscles and then rest, how is the muscle actually gaining energy/strength back?

I experience the same and have to lay down. I have pushed too far in exercise and had to lay where I am.

I have read mestinon/pyridostigmine help for short time (why we use this): For example, "pyridostigmine is a muscle-strengthening drug that helps electrical signals travel between nerves and muscles. It can reduce muscle weakness, but the effect only lasts a few hours." It works by attacking what prevents signal flow. The infusions we get are also intended to give us strength.
This is a good question for our doctors too.

I also cope with just resting. When I start to feel shakier I stop whatever I'm doing and lay down. The symptoms ease up after a while.

Thanks. Im interested in how my diet could help with muscle strength. I see too much about exercising and when I do that I’m out for the day with fatigue.

I need to know the answer to that. Good question.
